Serving size: 36 servings 3 Eggs 1 c Sugar 3/4 c All purpose flour 1 ts Baking powder 1/4 ts Salt 1 c Chopped dates 1 c Chopped pecans Sifted powdered sugar Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored; gradually add 1 cup sugar, beating well. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to egg mixture, beating well. Fold in dates and pecans. Spread batter evenly in a greased 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking pan. Bake at 3000 for 35 minutes. Cut into 3X1 inch bars and remove to a wire rack to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Yield about 3 dozen cookie bars.JM. Patricia Smith pjsmith@galesburg.net -----
