Ingredients - Preparation Method:

1 head romaine lettuce 1 pt fresh strawberries -- sliced 1 vidalia onion -- sliced DRESSING 1/2 cup mayonnaise 2 tbsps vinegar 1/3 cup sugar 1/4 cup milk 2 tbsps poppy seeds Wash lettuce. Pat dry. Refrigerate until serving time. Place greens on individual salad plates or in large salad bowl. Slice strawberies. If using frozen strawberries, let partially thaw before slicing. Put berries and onions on top of greens. Place all dressing ingredients in a jar. Cover and shake until blended. Dressing keeps several days in the refrigerator. (If serving dressing on the side, double the quantity of dressing.) Drizzle poppy seed dressing over salad. Wonderful in the spring when vidalia onions and strawberries are in season!
