Recipe of Bircher Muesli - Food Recipes

<T> Bircher Muesli This is how we have made muesli at home ever since I can remember. Note that all the ingredients are variable. I like my muesli thick enough that a spoon will stand up straight if stuck in; a lot of people like it thinner. Adding more liquid and let it sit a bit for a thinner, creamier muesli. Here is what I always put in: 1 medium-coarse chopped apple (red or golden delicious work well) 1/2 cup raisins 1 banana in 1/4 inch slices 1 orange, chopped 1 cup oats (or as much as you need to get desired thickness) 1 non-fat fruit yogurt (can use non-fat milk or even soy-milk instead) From here it is improvisation. I chop in a cup of whatever fruits are in season, in particular, strawberries, peaches, blueberries, nectarines, even mango, plums, prunes, pears, pitted cherries.
