Many people know about this agave - the so-called aloe. Despite the unpresentable view, it has truly miraculous properties, thanks to which many diseases can be cured.

Useful properties of aloe

  • Juice has anti-inflammatory, wound-healing and bactericidal action.
  • It is used in inflammatory skin diseases: purulent wounds, burns, trophic ulcers.
  • Agave juice stimulates appetite and improves digestion.
  • It is used in gastritis, colitis, gastric ulcer.
  • A mixture of aloe juice with honey and lard helps in the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis.
  • Aloe well with constipation.

Both fresh aloe juice and condensed as well as its leaves have medicinal qualities.

But before harvesting juice for future use, you need to know that the therapeutic properties of aloe begin to manifest themselves only from the age of three.

For therapeutic purposes, use a completely healthy plant with no signs of damage from diseases and insects. It is not necessary to harvest raw materials from agave, which was previously treated with chemicals. Aloe that has grown in an environmentally unfavorable zone cannot be used for therapeutic purposes. The leaves and aloe juice are applied externally and taken internally. They can be prepared for future use, because they lend themselves well to storage.

How to store aloe leaves

The juice is made from ground aloe leaves. To enhance its healing properties, the leaves are recommended to be kept in the fridge for 10-12 days before grinding. During this time, they accumulate active substances.

  • The large leaves of aloe are washed under running water and dried well with paper towels.
  • Packed in food film to block access of oxygen to them, and removed in the refrigerator.
  • They are stored on the door for no more than three weeks, because then the aloe becomes unusable inside.

How to store aloe juice

Fresh aloe juice is not subject to long-term storage. Poured into a bottle of dark glass, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to three days. But it can be mothballed with alcohol, vegetable oil, or honey.

How to store aloe juice on alcohol

  • Aloe juice is mixed with the same amount of medical alcohol.
  • Pour into a dark glass glass bottle.
  • Tightly closed with a lid or stopper.
  • Clean in the fridge.

Such aloe juice can be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of + 4-8 ° for about a year.

How to store aloe juice with honey

Those who for some reason cannot take alcoholic tincture of aloe juice can preserve it with honey.

  • Aloe is washed in running water.
  • Cut off part of the leaves with prickles.
  • The remaining leaves are crushed.
  • Pour them with hot honey in a 1: 2 ratio.
  • Insist day.
  • The mixture is heated and filtered.

Such a drug is stored in a refrigerator in an opaque container with a tight-fitting neck.

The shelf life of aloe with honey is about six months.

How to store aloe juice with vegetable oil

  • Aloe leaves are kept in the refrigerator for twelve days.
  • Then from them prepare juice.
  • Juice is mixed with castor or eucalyptus oil.
  • Store in a refrigerator in an opaque, hermetically sealed container.
