Ingredients - Preparation Method:
4 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon honey 1/2 teaspoon five spice powder 3 tablespoons garlic oil 3 tablespoons sesame oil Mix all ingredients in a shaker jar. Secure cap tightly and shake vigorously. Shake again just prior to use. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : This was heated and poured on a salad of shredded cabbage and raw and blanched vegetables. The salad was topped with a breast of Peanut Chicken recipe follows). Peanut Chicken Recipe Add 1-2 cups of chicken stock or canned chicken broth to a small sauce pan. Add 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce to chicken broth. Add 2 tablespoons of peanut butter to chicken broth and stir until completely mixed. If sauce is too thin, thicken with 1 tablespoon of corn starch mixed with just enough water to make it liquid (this is called a "slurry"). Slowly add "slurry" to the mixture with whisking. Add 1 ounce 2-3 tablespoons of cream and mix well. Pour through a small mesh strainer into a container fro later use. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and drizzle a small amount of soy sauce over them. Paint the chicken with the peanut sauce and place into oven at 350 degrees for approx. 8-10 minutes.
